Auburn Bay Wine Room Project
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our homeowner wanted to re-purpose an un-utilized space in an existing finished basement into an open wine tasting area with wine bottle display cabinets. In order to do this we had to remove two posts in the area that were present purely for aesthetic purposes; while also determining which posts were actually structural. We had to get a bit innovative and incorporate one of the existing structural post into an open wine display cabinet that provides some separation between the bar and wine area. The coffered ceilings with stained wood cornice moulding was also added to add yet another focal point to the room and create a cohesive look between the renovated space and the existing rooms in the basement.
